Premier’s thirty physicians value the independent practice of medicine and believe that the independent practice model provides patients with the highest quality of care. Independent practice provides physicians the freedom to practice giving patients the widest range of healthcare options.

Company History

Premier was formed in 1995 via the merger of several existing practices of general surgeons. We started with fifteen general/vascular surgeons, now having grown to include 30 surgeons specializing in general, surgical oncology, vascular, bariatric and complex hernia surgery. We provide the majority of surgeries in our specialties at four of Knoxville's five hospitals and we own and manage an ambulatory surgery center.
