Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, academic, and patient-centered environment dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents.The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and strong communication with a commitment to outstanding patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive medical care for pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
- Collaborate with the Division Chief on strategic planning and program development.
- Participate in 24-hour practice coverage (on-call responsibilities).
- Engage in Performance and Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with nursing leadership on policy development, patient satisfaction, and clinical initiatives.
- Serve as an educational resource for nursing staff, residents, fellows, hospitalists, and community physicians.
- Actively participate in medical/surgical committees as assigned.
- Develop, supervise, and contribute to research projects within the division.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of professional billing documentation.
- Respond to patient surveys and grievances related to quality of care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Eligible for New Jersey medical licensure
- Strong interpersonal, clinical, academic, and leadership skills

COMPENSATION:
Minimum Starting Base Salary: $173,062.00

Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
