Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine are jointly recruiting a Breast Surgeon who is either fellowship-trained in breast surgery and/or surgical oncology, or who has significant clinical experience in breast surgery. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a collaborative, compassionate approach to patient care. Additional interest in other areas of surgical oncology and/or general surgery is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will join a growing Surgical Oncology division that includes six surgeons and four advanced practice providers. In addition to providing the highest quality care across the full spectrum of malignant and benign breast disease, the Surgical Oncology team prioritizes the training, education, and mentorship of residents and medical students, and improving care through original research.

The Department of Surgery has a significant record of clinical, outcomes, translational, and basic research activity.
The salary range for this position is $328,174 – $808,091. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget. This hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Boston University conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain faculty and staff positions.
