Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Surgery

The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami, Leonard Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in breast cancer and breast diseases to join our growing breast surgery team and practice. We have a strong breast multidisciplinary group that works to provide high quality clinical care and access to cutting edge clinical trials. The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only university-based, NCI-designated cancer center in South Florida and is focused on innovation in cancer care.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an interest in clinical research and/or translational research. Eligible candidates must be board certified in general surgery, be able to obtain and maintain a valid Florida Medical License and have completed a SSO approved breast surgery or ACGME approved surgical oncology fellowship. Two to three years of post-fellowship clinical experience in breast surgery is preferred.
The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami currently has 12 faculty members with strong clinical, research and educational activities and sponsors fully approved fellowship programs in Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgical Oncology.
Job responsibilities include participation in clinical and educational activities as they relate to the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Department of Surgery with a special emphasis on breast cancer. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Breast Surgical Oncology and other members of the breast surgery team to develop a strong breast surgery clinical practice.
